List of upcoming exams

Admission to the PhD programs of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich is regulated in the "Regulation for Doctoral Studies at the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich" of July 1, 2008 as well as the "Implementation Provisions of the Rector on the Doctorate Rules" of September 1, 2008. Both documents combined in one PDF file (300 kB). In addition, the Department has issued Detailed Regulations for PhD studies:

Version (pdf 48kB) for PhD students who enrolled before February 1, 2010

Version (in German, pdf 540kB) for PhD students who enrolled after February 1, 2010

A doctoral degree is granted for participating in a PhD program under the supervision of a professor. Admission to a PhD program requires that you hold a diploma or a MSc degree with excellent grades. Furthermore, a professor of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology has to accept you as a PhD Student. Therefore, prior to submitting an application to the Admission Office, prospective PhD students should contact a professor of the Department. Please use the link «Research»
