This course provides an integrated view of the current technologies and strategies applied in pharmaceutical development and production. In particular, an outline of the development and manufacturing processes is presented and key current and future oriented technologies are dealt with in more detail. The course also covers management aspects such as life cycle and supply chain management.
Three teaching elements are employed: state-of-the-art technology lectures, project work (working on a practical problem in groups) and a plant visit.
The faculty includes experts from industry, consulting and academia. The ultimate goal of the course is to provide a sound introduction and the essential tools required for working in drug development and production in the pharmaceutical industry.
