The Safety-, Health and Environmental protection Committee (SGU-Com) implements the ETH safety policy in HCI. The commission specifies the procedures for department-specific risks to guarantee an acceptable safety level throughout HCI. The Safety Commission reports to the Head of D-CHAB, D-MATL, D-BIOL and consists of the Inter-Departmental Teaching Laboratory Coordinator and representatives of the Institutes, the Building and Maintenance Staff and the Central Safety Department of ETH. It is chaired by the professorship for Environmental and Safety Technology in D-CHAB. The Safety Commission acts in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Safety Department of ETH.
